THE AUTHOR
Roger
Cain was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United
States Army at the age of nineteen, during the build-up
to the Vietnam War. Military service completed, he earned
a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi
State University in 1970. After designing nuclear reactor
controls in Lynchburg, Virginia, he taught Computer Design
at Mississippi State University as an Assistant Professor.
He designed Space Shuttle electronics in Huntsville, Alabama
and became one founder of a telecommunications company,
Adtran.
